Big Brothers Big Sisters takes the health and well being of clients, volunteers, staff & stakeholders serious. As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Continues to impact our lives, we are making some adjustments to ensure the safety of all involved. We will take direction from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada following all standards and protocols. We are closely monitoring the situation and this could change at anytime.

Effectively immediately:

Office: Our office will be closed to the general public until further notice. Staff will continue to work as normal.

Programs: All programs will be put on hold until further notice. Staff will be in contact with all volunteers and families to assess needs. Mentors are encouraged to continue to maintain contact with their mentees through telephone, electronic devices to provide support. We will continue to provide our regular support to all families and stay in line with all BBBS of Canada standards. Bowl for Kids Sake will be postponed. This includes the School Challenge. This is one of our major fundraisers and we continue to look for your support. All teams who have booked their lanes will remain as is and we will be in contact with each team as the date is rescheduled to see if the date and time are appropriate for you. BIG Bucks will continue, however with vigilant & increased sanitation of boxes. Regular washing & sanitizing of hands will be ongoing. Workers have the option of wearing gloves & using peeling utensils for stickers. Boxes will be sanitized before leaving and entering the processing area. We will encourage people to play extended play by calling us with payment method over the phone.
